Specifying a workstation for a small architecture practice

A worked example: eight seats, Revit and Enscape, fixed budget.

Revit is still heavily single-thread dependent, which pushes budget toward clock speed rather than core count. Enscape then pulls it back toward GPU.

Our usual balance for this profile is a high-clock Core i7 or i9, a professional card in the RTX A2000 to RTX 4000 class, 64GB of memory and Gen4 NVMe.

We build, test and warranty these systems locally, which matters more than the parts list when a deadline is two days away.
